Go, Go Gobena!

We have been so blessed throughout this journey!  Even in this season of intense waiting, we have been given a matching grant of $4,000 from Lifesong for Orphans!  This is such a huge help to us right now, with the possibility that Ryan will be traveling NEXT MONTH!

With this grant, we've partnered with a fundraiser, "Gobena Coffee", to help us reach our goal of $4,000.  With each item purchased through our account on the coffee's website, we get $4.  BUT, since this is connected to our matching grant, that is doubled - we're looking at $8 into our adoption fund for each purchase!

We love finding companies that love orphan care as much as we do.  Read about how they started their coffee business, how it is fair trade/direct trade, and all the awesome items you can buy through the site.

We will be getting a shipment of samples for those local folks who want to try it before you buy it :)  Coffee & mugs are great christmas gifts - so stock up!!

Thank you for loving our family and for praying for us.  Please continue to pray for the ministry's response to our referral transfer request - it is so hard to wait (we are going on 8 WEEKS of wait time), but we know it is all in God's timing.  But, we are praying for a YES, and a yes very soon at that!

Keep checking our facebook and/or our blog for more coffee updates and updates about our referral!  We hope to be writing to you next week telling you about Ry's trip in January :)

Almost In Country

It's been quite a whirlwind since we last updated the blog!  For the delay, we are sorry.  It almost seems silly to tell people what paperwork we're slaving over.  Boring information that shares basically nothing, since it's all tedious and monotonous.

BUT!

We have finished our home study.
We have gotten FBI clearance (for the 4th time!).
We have FINALLY been cleared for immigration approval (after they "couldn't" send us a notice, so we were approved over a month ago without us knowing).

We are 2 pieces of paper away from our dossier being ready to send.  Both of which are sitting in our house waiting to be mailed (not by USPS - has anyone else lost lots of mail recently?!).

I can't believe, after being in this process for over 2 years, we are finally ready to get our file out of the States.  It's an amazing feeling.  One I feel like should have happened forever and a day ago, but I know that this long wait was necessary, even if I don't know the reason right now.

We thought we had all of our financial payments ready to go, thanks to some awesome supportive fundraisers we did last fall, and some amazingly generous family members.  But, a payment is due NOW that we thought would be due much later.  So we are $1200 short of our next installment.  That $1200 is a wiring fee that will be sent to Bulgaria (it's in Euros, but the $1200 is approximate).

The grants we are working on currently won't be available in the time frame that we need the $ (that's if we win the grant).  So, we are humbly asking for any donation you have available to help cover our wiring fee.  We are in the process of setting up a yard sale in the next month or so to help, so keep a look out for that!

We also covet your prayers - suddenly our adoption is moving a little faster than we can fill out the paperwork, and that honestly isn't something we've experienced thus far.  We feel like this is the first time we're not being told to slow down and wait.  So, here we go team!  Our paperwork is almost on it's way TO COUNTRY!

Etsy Love

My sweet mom has been so generous by opening up an Etsy shop to financially support our adoption!  It's still in the process of being completely opened - the shop doesn't have all our inventory up yet.  But, you can go and check it out!  Great gifts for baby showers or that new mom in your life!  Wonderful baby gifts.  We are so excited to launch this shop and hope you love the items as much as we do!  I use each of these items in my day to day as a new mom and can honestly say that they hold up well to baby wear and the necessary wash!  We are so thankful for my mom's talents and heart - go show her some love by checking out the shop!
