He is so sweet, and big sister Ana loves him so very much. We are still slightly zombie parents, and Jack had about 100 doctor visits during his first 2 weeks of life, but he now has a clean bill of health and we realize that the second kid is much easier to adjust to. We are loving our life as a family of 4 (5 if you include the giant dog!).
The day we were being discharged from the hospital after having Jack, we got a facetime call from our point person, as she was traveling in Bulgaria during that time. The MOJ had approved our transfer! We got the referral! We had to wait a few days for the translation team, but we received a sweet boy's profile just days later. Although his profile isn't what we thought at all, we now know, after lots of prayer, that he is exactly who God has chosen for our family. Ry will travel to visit him in early April (I'm staying behind to continuously feed this hungry newborn) and we will go pick him up sometime in the fall. God's timing is remarkable, and we are so excited to bring this sweet boy home. Although we can't share a picture with you yet, know he is absolutely adorable and you'll fall in love with him just as we have.
So, our lives have been a bit hectic lately :) But we love our version of crazy. Please, as you spend time with God over the next few weeks, pray for us. Pray for safe travels for Ry, as he travels to a remote city in Bulgaria alone. Pray for our sweet Bulgarian boy - pray that his heart is opened for us, even though it has been harden by years of fear and disappointment. Pray for Ana & Jack, as they get ready to add a new sibling into the mix! We need all the love and support we can get, and we so appreciate each of you. We'll keep you updated as much as we are able!
